Some minor controversy arose when the NFL stated it would penalize players for not following team uniform regulations if the players decided to wear commemorative 9/11 gear provided by Reebok. Even in the Major League Baseball, the New York Mets players were not allowed to wear NYPD and FDNY caps on-field. But keep in mind that these league regulations exist not to suppress an individual’s desire to pay tribute to the fallen heroes of 9/11. Mike Williams of the Seattle Seahawks also grabbed our attention with his on-field gear; the Wide Receiver took the gridiron wearing a pair of Air Jordan XIV PE Cleats in a Black/Neon Green colorway. With Nike being the official outfitter of the NFL starting in 2012, will we see more Nike and Air Jordan PE Cleats?
