Whenever a new model comes along in the Air Max lineage it’s always a treat to pick apart the DNA and recognize which models cued the newer design. Take the freshly minted Nike Air Max Faze for example, shown here in two debut colorways. The particular Air Max logo selected on the tongue is an unorthodox one, popping up pretty infrequently on models like the Nike Air Burst and the Nike Air Max 93. The side Swoosh in place has most in common perhaps with that over the Nike Air Classic BW, preserving a sweeping shape in favor of the more angular one you’d find on a pair of 90’s. What other pieces from Air Max history can you pick out on this new design?
