Deion Sanders may be repping Under Armour instead of Nike these days, but Nike Sportswear went ahead and dropped a brand new Diamond Turf model, anyways. Just like the continuation of Penny Hardaway’s and Scottie Pippen’s rebirthed signature lines, the Diamond Turf 6 picks up where the popular training line left off in 1998 with the Diamond Turf V. The DT line reemerges on par with the rest of the resurrected signature lines, with modern materials in retro-inspired designs. You can see that the Diamond Turf 6 borrows heavily from the first two DT models with the large midfoot cross strap, which is then backed with a modern Hyperfuse mesh upper. For whatever reason, it’s then slapped on the Air Max tooling of the Nike Air Trainer Max ’94 (not even a turf-specific sole unit). The Diamond Turf 6 is available now at select Nike Sportswear retailers, including Villa.
