Reselling used to a rarely discussed aspect of the sneaker game and even though it’s so out in the open, people are still hesitant to talk about it for fear of the stigma of being a reseller and not “in the sneaker game” for genuine reasons. That’s changed over the years thanks to the growth of Flight Club, the mass sales on eBay, and a bunch of other reasons, but things really reached mainstream news when Dan Gilbert, owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers, financially committed to Campless, a sneaker reselling data hub run by Josh Luber. Luber took his knowledge of the game to the famed TED Talks platform by comparing the Air Jordan 3 “Black/Cement” to the iPhone in terms of what those products did for their respective brands.
