Always a sneaker brand to support the creative and artistic communities that wear their shoes, Vans now looks towards another realm of creative self-expression: chefs. The artisans of the kitchen inspire this new collaboration with acclaimed chefs and restauranteurs Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo, partners in the Los Angeles area with several popular restaurants. Vans and Jon & Vinny have cooked up a six sneaker set of Vans classics, each with upgraded features perfect for the kitchen. The kitchen shoe collection contains the Sk8-Hi, Authentic, Old Skool, and Slip-On, each with water and dirt resistant canvas uppers and upgraded cushioning ensuring comfort for long periods of standing in the kitchen. The sneakers will be worn by staff members at the Jon & Vinny’s, animal, and Son of A Gun restaurants, with colorway coinciding with each restaurant’s aesthetic. Look for updates on a retail release of the Vans’ kitchen shoe program at vans.com, and learn more about Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo’s restaurants at jonandvinnys.com.
