Highs And Lows x ASICS “Submariner” Releases This Saturday

Highs And Lows x ASICS “Submariner” Releases This Saturday

Highs And Lows Asics Gel Mai Submariner 1

You may recall Highs and Lows releasing the ASICS GEL-Lyte V “Medic” in 2015. Now the Australian sneaker shop is revisiting the military theme with ASICS, for the GEL-Mai “Submariner”. The shop’s first time working on the GEL-Mai, the unique mid-90’s runner is given a premium leather and suede upper in shades of dark navy and slate blue for a nautical aesthetic, inspired by submarines and their staffs in the Australian army. The upper also features a heathered navy neoprene for the tongue and lateral side, while the medial side features micro-ripstop. For a stealthy, hidden detail, a raised morse code print across the taping of the tongue reads “HAL”. The GEL-Mai is finished with a contrasting white sole and an sockliner graphic nodding to the rough seas often traversed by nautical vessels.

The ASICS GEL-Mai “Submariner” releases this Saturday, October 14th exclusively in-store and online from Highs and Lows.
