END And New Balance’s X-90 “Purple Haze” Pack Is Inspired By Incense

After last joining forces with New Balance in 2018 for a “Dusk” pack, END has now created a new trifecta of New Balance X-90s, dubbed the “Purple Haze” collection. Although the regal color palette and cheeky name may conjure near-immediate visions of Jimi Hendrix, the capsule is in fact inspired by the sweet scents and relaxing attributes of incense. Creating a decade-spanning look with its luxe materials and retro-futuristic design language, the pack consists of three different colorways that span the gamut of incense: a light lilac, a stately stone grey, and a rich dark grape. Apart from the compelling colors, there’s also a hefty helping of co-branded details via custom insoles, branded lace tips, and debossed accents on the tongue. Each shoe comes with a special box, and is accessorized by a pack of incense sticks/a custom holder — perfect for unwinding after a long day on your feet. If you’re looking to grab a pair or two from the collection, you can enter a raffle for your preferred colorway below, and expect an official release on March 30th with a retail price of $135 USD.
