END Lays Out A Persian Rug On The New Balance 997

Contemporary men’s retailer END is no stranger to collaborative territories, as the UK-based e-commerce platform has gone heavy on its partnerships with a vast array of different apparel and sneaker brands from Rick Owens, to ASICS, to adidas just to name a few. However, of all the interesting collections they’ve accomplished thus far, few compare to their ongoing relationship with New Balance, as the two continue to sift through the Boston imprint’s catalog of silhouettes to pump out multiple projects involving that of the 878, X-90, 860v2, and 1500 this year alone. And to close out their successful 2019 run, they’re squeezing out one more collab for the fans via this upcoming pair of the New Balance 997.

Fittingly entitled the “Persian Rug”, the lifestyle silhouette draws heavy inspiration from that of Iranian furniture by translating its essence from colors to graphics. Upper constructions are swathed in a trio of “Rumba Red”, navy and beige tones lining its suede, leather, and mesh materials, and met with matching floral patterns laid upon the insoles to further express its carpet motif. “END” branding is also printed atop the insoles as a nod to its moniker, and completed down below with two-tone tread. Grab a detailed look here below, and be sure to enter their raffle system before they pick winners on its December 13th release date.
