Although seen less than some of its N.354 counterparts, the Nike Drop Type LX has developed a notable following for its vintage aesthetic and versatility. Since launching in mid-2019, the silhouette has favored simple and drab colorways. And while its latest duo does too, it delivers an eye-catching detail on its heels: spray-on graphics.
Predominantly clad in a mix of black, olive green and white, both forthcoming pairs feature a nylon base overlaid with reinforcement across the profiles and around the tongue. The layered toe-tip nods to the model’s tennis heritage, while also delivering the experimental aesthetic inherent to the Nike Sportswear’s N.354 label. Both iterations of the silhouette sport white laces and a mostly-white sole unit, as well as olive green exposed foam at the tongue. While its graphic (if any) is unclear, the spray-on detailing towards the heel is a welcomed inclusion to two otherwise simple propositions.
Enjoy official images of these Drop Type LX options ahead, and expect pairs to arrive to Nike.com soon.
Elsewhere under the Swoosh umbrella, the Air Griffey Max 1 “Freshwater” is rumored to return in 2021.
