When one thinks of Brazil, he immediately thinks of yellow, green, and blue, the unforgettable color-combination of the Brazilian flag and of the nation’s football kit. With such a storied history in the sport, Nike has collaborated with Brazilian street artist Nunca to put his magic touch on a small collection of Nike Sportswear gear for its Six Collaboration. Nunca designed a crest that features five stars, representing Brazil’s record five FIFA World Cup Championships, and his hieroglyphic handwriting gives an archaelogic touch to a country that already has a storied ancient history. The collection also features great Nike Sportswear kicks like the Nike Air BW Gen II and Nike Dunk High AC. Check out the images after the jump because you should know anything ‘Brazil’ and ‘Soccer’ go hand in hand.
Brazil Artist: Nunca Inspired by Incan symbolism and a primitive style of graffiti called “Pixação,” Sao Paolo street artist Nunca crafted a unique Brazilian kit that connects the people of the favelas to the sport they hold dear. Five stars within the otherworldly, eye-like crest symbolize Brazil’s five championship wins, and Nunca’s hieroglyphic handwriting and pattern (lining the hoodie) connects the kit to the ancients in a modern way.
