Nike Kobe 8 Protro
The Nike Kobe 8 is the eighth signature sneaker for Kobe Bryant produced by Nike and designed by Eric Avar. In 2023, the silhouette returned in Protro form, iterating on the original design with modern performance technology developed in its time off the shelves. The model officially re-launched in August with the all-white “Halo” colorway.
In 2024, the Kobe 8 Protro was one of Nike Basketball’s most important releases. On the anniversary of Bryant’s final game, the “Venice Beach” colorway from the model’s OG run returned alongside the Kobe 4 “Philly” and Kobe 6 “Italian Camo.” August brought the continuation of the sentimental “Mambacita” series dedicated to Gianna Bryant.
As for upcoming releases, the Kobe 8 “What The” for Summer 2025 stands as the most notable, but expect the model to stay in focus for the foreseeable future.
