Nike Vapormax 2020
The Nike Air VaporMax 2020 Flyknit is one of the brand's most sustainable shoes created in its 56-year-old history. Boasting at least 50% recycled content by weight, the model launches globally on July 23rd.
Built on Nike Air VaporMax cushioning debuted in 2016, the silhouette was unveiled alongside The Swoosh's collection for the Tokyo Olympics. Representatives from Team USA were supposed to wear the shoe during downtime throughout the competition, as well as on the medal stand. The Nike VaporMax 2020 features an updated, less pod-like, but full-length Air unit. For its upper, the lifestyle model utilizes recycled Flyknit yarn created from approximately 67% post-industrial components. Furthermore, the newest member of the VaporMax family utilizes Nike Grind – upcycled surplus manufacturing materials – in its outsole, similar to the entire Nike Space Hippie line. The sneaker also features The Swoosh's innovative FlyEase mechanism, allowing for easy-to-put-on-and-take-off functionality.
The Nike VaporMax 2020 is priced at $250 USD and offered in a variety of colorways for both men and women.
