Nike Air Huarache Bball 2012
September 23rd, 2011 by John K. | 19 comments

Nike’s continual rehashing of classic models with newer performance tech for 2012 has brought back some Nike Basketball classics like the Nike Air Shake NDestrukt, which will return as the Nike Air Max Shake Evolve, and the Nike Air Huarache Basketball, which will also make comeback bearing the same name with the 2012 designation. The Air Huarache Basketball was already a design ahead of its time, but even in 2012, it still seems to be ‘out of this world’ with its funky, high-cut ankle and rigid heel-counter. The major differences you can expect with the Air Huarache Basketball 2012 is the basketball-specific Free-grooved sole, which allows for multi-directional flexion that better fits the game of basketball, and a new one-piece toe that forms a sock-like feel with the neo-prene ‘bootie’. Check out these four new Summer 2012 colorways below and let us know what you think. via CK.

release date?
why is the herringbone pattern only on the medial portion of the outsole? i would think having it throughout the bottom would be more functional
these look too comfortable, id hoop and rock these, wont go HAM on the court tho, no ankle support in the OG upper style, almost rolled ankle in the retros in 04, IDK a kidd got his steps down now im good...
ogs please
Not feeling these at all please bring back a the originals.
these are actually pretty dope i like them. dont really plan on balling in them but just as an overall dope shoe to have and rock.
Again, what was wrong with the OG? Nothing. Bring it back, nike.
Never mix a basketball shoe and a running shoe
That's how they got the idea for hyperfuse, but I see what you mean.
The sole makes these ehhh... I don't know what it is about it. But they are not bad i guess...
Veh nice. Best remake I've seen in a long time.
All of these colorways are fresh.
DO NOT USE THESE FOR BASKETBALL UNLESS YOU WANT SERIOUS ANKLE INJURYS
actually no the the heel support looks like its just like the 2010 which were great. there basketball shoes if u want some serious ankle injury's play in some hightops. i twist my ankle alot in my 2008 and 2009 huaraches but not as much in my 2010 and after 3 min could play again.
that toe box looks like it doesn't offer much support, i could see getting my toe stubbed in a game with these
they actually did a good job with these
I loved, loved, loved the original version of these shoes (and still have a few pairs I play in today), and so I am encouraged to see them bringing it back. My concern about the shoe is the toe area - It looks like it isn't rigid enough to withstand playing in. It would be hard to play basketball in socks, even with a supportive heal area, and that is what the toe box looks like. If it is more supportive that it appears in the forefoot, these could be awesome.
yeah but its like the lunar flow so it may have better ventilation
ok nike designers props on this re-modeledmodel def looking forward to copping a pair
