Thanks to the covert updates that Sneaker News has kept you up on, you already know that Dwyane Wade has made a huge change in his sneaker career, allowing his Jordan Brand contract to expire and linking up with Chinese sportswear entity Li-Ning. Tomorrow marks the 10/10 date hinted at by Wade on which the partnership is expected to officially be announced, but we’ve got some more photos and info ahead of that to shed light on the situation. First of all, Wade will have his sub-brand known simply as ‘Wade’, with an apparel line that he will have executive control over thrown in the mix. Secondly, reports have the line launching in China “soon” with an expected US arrival in Spring 2013.
During this big-time change for one of the league’s biggest athletes (#MakeTheChange being the apparent name of the campaign), some more insight has been given on the Wade/Jordan Brand split, with Wade speaking on the subject with “In the end, the pros outweighed the cons, Jordan might have that cool factor, but I’m at a different point in my career. I want to be involved in building something.” There’s no doubt that this new endorsement has given him that building opportunity, letting him carve out his own path and create a footwear legacy independent influence from any other Chicago heroes. You can expect to see Wade rocking his new Li-Ning’s on the regular at a couple upcoming exhibition matches out in China, with the in-game pairs to be auctioned off afterwards, thus becoming the first ever Wade x Li-Ning sneakers up for grabs. Only thing going for this ugly sneaker is that "W", and even that isn't that eye catching. But that's just me
I'm all for D. Wade going where the money is at, but these things are ridiculously horrendous in my opinion. The fact that people are feeling them surprises the hell out of me, but to each their own.
really feeling the white ones. the shoe in general is so much better than anything JB ever came up with
I like them but I'm not a fan of either color. The darker color definitely looks better though..I'm interested to see what else they come up with.
They look much better than the last pics....... But NO, NO, and Hell No. the look like trash to me. but thats just me.
IMO they are still ugly. I'm not going to lie they do look better then anything he had with JB and converse but that's not saying much.
These aren't bad. 10 times better than any non retro JB is making. All that patent leather is a bad look though.
These shoes have potential to get to the kobe and lebron level of shoes. The black ones look fashionable enough to wear with stylish clothes. I say give them a couple of years and people will be coping these like they cop the kobes and the lebrons
well at least they will look better if you rock em with jeans then the flywades...they looked like clown shoes
This is HORRIBLE!!!! It looks like they put no thought into creating these. Looks like they put a bunch of patterns together. SMFH!!!!!!!!!! SWAPMEET MATERIAL!
whether people like these or not there is one thing everyone will agree on...these are waaaaayyyy better than anything jordan and arguably converse made for d wade...i personally like em
they're okish (look a little similar to lebrons tbh) but that shine on the black ones kinda put me off
