Kevin Durant continues his tributary approach to his alma mater with the latest Texas Longhorns colorway of his signature Nike Basketball shoe. This time around, the tonal Metallic Silver is used on the upper with the Longhorns-specific Desert Orange coming to life in the Swoosh logos, with Grey and Black finishing off the colorway. The ‘Texas’ is set for a release on February 23rd at Nike Basketball retailers so stay tuned to Sneaker News for more KD V release information and let us know where this year’s ‘Texas’ release ranks among all that we’ve seen over the years.
Nike KD V
Metallic Silver/Desert Orange-Sport Grey-Black
Honest these the most wearable pairs of KD's I've seen yet. Since I go to OU I'm fine with no logo aha.
Honestly though these look fairly clean, are they the best? No, I think the BHM and the Blackout are the best so far, but these aren't too bad.
I like the decisions made in reference to the amount of burnt orange and silver-esque tone covering the majority of this KD V. Ironically, I like that the shoe isn't predominantly the burnt orange like the KD IV; I feel it makes the shoe more wearable, either out casually or on the court. Concerning the latter, I have more athletic wear to match with a shoe that's mainly a silver-type color than burnt orange.
Even provided, these are the TX LH edition, true KD fans know this is that reference--I don't feel it's a need to have a Longhorns' logo in addition to a lot of that burnt orange. I actually feel that was overkill and was why I wasn't a big fan of the TX LH edition KD IVs.
@JROB003 I must say that is true indeed. Needs a Longhorns logo. But as for the colorway itself this is the best Longhorns Colorway on a KD yet.
