Boston College students and alumni, New Balance just dropped your next go-to running shoe. The Boston-based brand is playing its cards close to its chest with a school-inspired take on the new AC Runner, available now via NewBalance.com for $150 in unisex sizes.
New Balance maintains a deep connection to its city through multiple channels, including big activations around every Boston Marathon, a prominent sign at Fenway Park, and an assortment of Boston-inspired apparel on its website. Boston College also signed a 10-year deal with the brand back in 2021, since expanded to cover all of the school’s varsity sports teams. This running release brings the “BC” logo to one of New Balance’s newest road runners. While technically categorized under running, the AC Runner is touted as more of an all-around training option, its Fresh Foam X cushioning split across three distinct densities to cover a range of activities. Official images show a white mesh foundation with red accents on the tongue logo and Fresh Foam X callout. A cream-like beige shade takes over on the heel and key parts of the tooling.
The New Balance AC Runner “Boston College” is available now via the New Balance website for $150 in unisex sizes. Likeminded takes on the New Balance 1000 and New Balance 480 are also available via the Boston College Bookstore.
