The Zoom Kobe IV was first leaked in early July but it seems that early samples are now available for sale as well now. The reviews have been mixed thus far from sneaker enthusiasts and Kobe fans mostly due to the fact that this fourth signature shoe in Kobe’s line will be not a Mid or High cut but instead a Low cut, something that Nike has strayed away from when it comes to creating signature shoes for their franchise athletes. When creating this shoe with Eric Avar, the man behind such Nike Basketball classics as the Foamposite One and just recently the Hyperdunk, Kobe was looking for a low cut shoe so that he could prevent himself from losing seconds in reaction time. The Zoom Kobe IV continues where the Hyperdunk left off in that it continues to use Nike’s newest innovative technology, Lunar Foam and Flywire in addition to keeping with some Zoom Air in the forefoot to balance the shoe out. The Nike Zoom Kobe IV officially drops in January of 2009 at a price of $120, $10 less than Kobe’s last two signature Nike shoes. Available at Marquee Sole
