Journal Standard x Danessa Boat Shoe – Spring 2009

It looks like a trend now: first, adidas reappropriated the boat shoe in a hybrid sneaker, but now, it’s unavoidable that colourful boat shoes are the flavor de jour.  And with these releases from Portugese label Danessa, that flavor is ever so satisfying.  Danessa got up with Japanese retailer Journal Standard and pumped out a set of seven stunning deck shoes.  Instead of relying solely on the traditional brown and occasional navy blue, Danessa and JS added striking kelly greens, brick reds and cobalt blues.  Each in rich suede atop a gum sole, the entire collection is ready now at the JS e-store.
