Hybrid sneakers tend to polarize. On one hand, many sneakerheads are purists who pay exorbidant sums to collect OG versions even though the retros are nearly identical. On the other hand, a good hybrid can be just like a quality collaboration: they bring together the best of two seemingly disparate worlds. With this new hybrid pictured above, we’ll let you decide if it’s love or hate at first site.
The Nike Air Max Trainer 90 is a hybrid created as Plus 41 worked in collaboration with Cellophane. Its inspirations are clearly found in the Air Max 90’s infrared colourway, while the Air Trainer 1 donates its strap and upper vamp. We’re unsure as to whether theese are set for a wide release, so take a look at the pictures and cross your fingers. via HS
