Jeff Staple for Airwalk Payless Shoes Collection

Jeff Staple for Airwalk Payless Shoes Collection

When you design something as iconic as the Nike SB Dunk Low Pro Pigeon, you earn alot of leeway.  There aren’t too many other high profile streetwear designers who would lend their hands to a collaboration with Payless Shoes.  But then again, there aren’t too many designers with as much cache as Jeff Staple.  His work for Airwalk this year has been quite interesting, including a dope tribute to the new Star Trek film.  Those were a great idea, since the limited editions likely have more people interested in these budget releases.

Here are the four models that make up the entire Staple x Airwalk collection for Payless.  Pictured above is the Gambit in a nice quilted black leather that alternates triangles with the Airwalk ‘A’.  Next comes the 50/50 lowtop in black and red buffalo plaid, followed by the cloud-patterned Heaven slipon.  Last but certainly not least is the centerpiece of this collection, the Airwalk Terrain.  It appears in both the brown colourway you’ve already seen and a new edition in purple, orange, black and grey.  Props to Jeff Staple for putting himself out there like this.  Let us know if you’d consider copping these or if the price alone makes you shy about buying.
