Fusions and hybrids are a touchy subject amongst certain people.  For some, though, it’s simple as black and white- “I’m feeling ’em” or “Nuh uh.”  But when it comes to the Air Penny 1/2 Cent, it seems to be the X-factor of the Nike crossbreeds that hit a chord with everyone.  Not just comparing to other hybrids, or even Nike Basketball, this shoe is one of the best consistent releases to come out of Nike in quite a while.

And so Nike drops this metallic silver pair and hopes to see the same success as previous releases.  The silver upper adds such a slick, futuristic feel to profile.  Lil’ Penny branding found on the heel tab in the form of a silhouette, then flipping it to find a portrait hologram found on the sole.  The light grey insole features a graphic of Lil’ Penny in a black cowboy get-up, maybe a reference to his part in the Pheonix Suns’ Backcourt2000  swiftly taking out the then-champion San Antonio Spurs in the semis.  Whatever it be, those in favor of these new 1/2 Cents can cop now from OSneaker.  If not, they’re also available at House of Hoops.
