Every successful signature line of basketball kicks seems to be accompanied by matching apparel. Do the kicks and the apparel go hand-in-hand, or is the success mutually exclusive? If you saw our Li-Ning Launch Event Recap last week, you might’ve seen Baron Davis aka Beardman wear a pretty dope varsity jacket with his BD and Beardman logos adorning the front chest. Some cool t-shirts, one with Davis posterizing, or “bearding” what looks to be a helpless, clean-shaven Andrei Kirilenko were also displayed. All the aforementioned gear – two colors of the jacket and six different tees – are no available for purchase. With kicks and matching gear as part of his arsenal, Beardman and his future as an endorsee looks pretty bright (just don’t expect a call from Gilette).
