Back in the early to mid 90’s, there were a lot of Nike Basketball shoes that were closely associated with a particular NBA star, but only a handful of players like Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley and Penny Hardaway actually had their models named after them. If someone brought up the David Robinsons or the Jason Kidds or the Gary Paytons, you’d probably know that they’re likely talking about the Air Command Force, the Zoom Flight 95 or the Zoom Flight 98 even though they don’t have the players’ names officially indicated. Scottie Pippen is another player that falls into this category. Before he was given his own signature Nike model in 1997, he was best known for rocking the Air More Uptempo, but prior to that, there was another shoe that was unofficially dubbed the Scottie Pippens.
