Earlier this year Reebok introduced Zig technology, which featured a midsole design resembling the blips on a heart-rate monitor while offering cushioning never seen before (except on the Nike Free as well as the New Balance Zip). K-Swiss, best known for its classic all-white sneakers, is also jumping in on the performance trainer craze with K-Swiss Tubes, a new athletic shoe with a cushioning system comprised of rows of inverse tubes, allowing more or less give depending on pressure. Leading the Tubes charge is Kenny Powers, the fictional yet hilarious lead character of HBO’s Eastbound and Down, and a number of notable NFL stars such as Jeremy Shockey and Patrick Willis. Unlike the Jersey Shore cast and their endorsement of the Zig tech, Kenny Powers is intentionally hilarious and offers convincing slogans such as “If you don’t like them, change your mind.” Aside from the jokes, K-Swiss Tubes has some interesting tech so check out all the videos after the jump and let us know what you think of K-Swiss and its new performance technology called “Tubes”.
