Air Jordan Spiz’ike – ‘Grape’ – Unreleased Sample

Earlier this year the ‘Grape’ colorway of the Air Jordan Spiz’ike released and was a surprisingly popular hit among sneakerheads as well as celebrities. Kanye West, The Game, Spike Lee, and Shay of N.E.R.D. were all spotted with the Grape Spiz’ikes during the year, but what if it was released like this version you see here? If you can’t point out the different right away, that’s because usually the changes from sample to product are minor, but in this case, the sample is almost a completely different design, using completely different color-blocking. The midsole, wings, laceflaps, and tongue have all undergone changes, but the biggest has to be that this early version doesn’t feature the fully perforated upper seen on the pair that was actually released. In fact, Sneaker News first previewed the sample version as the official ‘Grape’ release, but the gradual alterations seemed to have gone by unnoticed.
