In recent months, Gourmet has showcased some of the simplest pleasures yet from their footwear collection. Relying on simple colorways and premium materials, these fashion forward releases were mostly in keeping with the trends toward subtlety that have pervaded the fashion world since late 2008. But that’s not the case with this new Gourmet Cinque L, a leather pair of the chukka-like lowtop that features a very convincing snakeskin theme. From the scaling down to the distribution of grey shades, these Cinques have the feel of ultrapremium reptile skin, with black laces and white sole grounding the wild upper quite nicely.
