Nike Sportswear has a pack of Air Max 1s on the way with a crepe sole just like the immortal Clarks Originals Wallabee. The rest of the AM1 Wallabee draws on the 87’s original silhouette, so we can’t help but wonder what would happen if you went in the opposite direction. Probably something more or less exactly like the new Gourmet 28. These joints offer a mid-high cut moccasin-toed suede chukka upper atop a cushion that clearly owes its entire existence to Max Air. This first pair is a quintessentially ‘2010’ shoe, with its hybrid design opting for an all-black everything palette so you can rock em anywhere (so long as it’s not with navy blue). Check out more shots below and let us know how these rank compared to Gourmet’s other ‘The (Number)’ kicks. via Dunk
