When one thinks of ‘patchwork’, you’re probably picturing a pair of piecemeal cargo shorts constructed of various Madras plaids, and while there’s a bit of that on here, the latest release from adidas Originals might give you a new association. The adidas Originals Superstar ‘Patchwork’ earns its name by combining a variety of materials onto a single shelltoe. Everything from canvas and mesh to leather and patterned textiles are in play here, resulting in another look that signals to the world Three Stripes is ready to move on from post-recession tonality. This release seems like a logical step from their mid-’00s (and a few recent drops) high contrast fare, and you can see more after the jump. via SDG
