For sneakers, time can be cruel. Over a set period of use (or even non-use), an Air Jordan shoe can fall from grace and wilt like a leaf at the turn of the fall season, falling apart at the seams as the glue the holds the shoe together dries up into a fine powder, deconstructing the shoe into a pile of loose parts. The owner of this Air Jordan VIII Low accepted the fate of his sneakers, and decided to sacrifice his fallen soldier to shoe us the inner workings of an Air Jordan VIII by not only removing each part piece by piece, but by splitting the shoe length-wise to get a nice cross-section of the shoe. You can see the forefoot and heel Air units through the length-wise cut as well as the removable plate on the bottom sole. Sneaker News has shown you some dissected and dissolved sneakers for some time, but this latest showcase should definitely give you a better inside look into what goes into an Air Jordan shoe, but it’s strange to see these fall apart while Gilbert Arenas wore a pair these not long ago. In any case, Check out the detailed images below and let us know what you think. via Kenlu.
