Can you skate in patent leather? We’re about to find out as the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Space Jam’ is set to hit select retailers in May, although some retailers have reported a delayed release of June or July. The Air Jordan XI colorway from which it draws inspiration was the first basketball sneaker to ever feature patent on its mudguard and now the glossy black look gets applied to Swoosh Skateboarding’s flagship model. These Dunk Low Pro SBs even go so far as to add thick corded laces a la AJ11 plus a translucent outsole for that icey finish. Will they be remembered as fondly as 2009’s Sneaker News Top Sneaker?
