The last Air Max 97 issued by Nike Sportswear featured a rarely-seen construction with patent leather along its swooping mudguard. And here’s a case where its predecessor is also being released in a curious combination of materials, one that’s not typical of the Nike Air Max 95. These new Ninety-Fives are done in almost all black with Photo Blue accents, but the real story is in the ‘muscle fiber’ tiers where you see the somewhat-more-common-to-95s patent leather contrasted by nubuck and denim. It serves to add some levity to the otherwise brooding design and you can see more after the jump before you buy a pair the only place you can: JD Sports.
