Before some observers started referring to LeBron James as “the next (or a bigger) Magic Johnson”, the last successor to Earvin’s point forward throne was Anfernee ‘Penny’ Hardaway. At his peak, Penny was an All-NBA superstar with a signature sneaker line few could match, and he remains one of LeBron James’ heroes. So it was natural to see the Nike Air Max LeBron VII ‘Heroes Pack’ integrate a nod to Hardaway, though somewhat shocking that this perfectly executed takeoff didn’t release. Modeled after the Air Penny 1, this AML7 was slated to hit along with the also-nixed Deion Sanders and Michael Jordan-inspired pairs, but their absence means the US size 10.5 currently available from hyperstrike_718 earns some major points for scarcity.
