We often count the number of championships as an accurate measure of greatness. Well, thanks to NBA dynasties in the 90’s and 00’s, there exists an impressive group of NBA legends who have never won at the highest level, one of whom is Jason Kidd, the NorCal native who is considered to be one of the greatest point guards to ever have laid foot on an NBA hardwood court. After two trips in the middle of the last decade, Kidd returns to the NBA Finals, but not as an aging former superstar latching on for a title, but as a key component to the Mavericks’ success this season and in the Playoffs. Kidd, who signed on with Chinese brand Peak, sported a special PE colorway of the Peak Kidd 3 called the ‘March To Champion’ Edition, which features a pristine White/Gold colorway specifically chosen to represent honor and glory. The tongue also features a unique logo, calling out the Kidd’s three Conference Championship years. Even if Kidd leaves the 2011 Finals empty-handed, he’d still be heralded at the highest regard and will walk away from one of the most impressive NBA careers in history. Check out Kidd’s PE below and let us know if you think this is Kidd’s championship year. via hoopchina.
