To start off, Sneaker News would like to extend an apology to all of its loyal readers for the difficulties that the site experienced over the last two days. The issues should be completely resolved by now, so thank you for your patience. But despite the troubles, the Sneaker News staff didn’t slow down one bit, because this week was filled with some great stories. Starting with Air Jordan news, the Air Jordan 1 Banned finally released at outlets, calling for nationwide campouts. In addition to the Banned 1 hoopla, Sneaker News confirmed the release of the Air Jordan IV White/Cement and showed you the upcoming Air Jordan XI Concord. LeBron’s name has been a repeating theme this week now that he’s in the Finals, but Sneaker News gave you a look inside his sneaker closet in case you were curious about what he rocked off the court. As James and the Heat head to Texas, will we see a new PE colorway? In other NBA related new, the 2010-11 Sneaker Champ Gilbert Arenas stole the spotlight by kicking off his sneaker collection giveaway.
In other news, Nike Sportswear has quite a schedule for the next few months, as we got a look at the upcoming Nike Sportswear Hyperfuse releases and some releases that are slated to hit in early 2012. Michael Jordan was one of the big celebrities that were spotted with Air Jordans, as he wore the Cool Greys during a Bobcats Draft workout. Other Air Jordan news included Playboy, which finally unveiled its 23 best Air Jordans in seductive fashion. Ronnie Fieg’s Asics GT-II dropped this week, but we also got a peek at his upcoming Asics collaboration – again the Asics Gel Lyte III. A well-known sneaker retailer in NYC relocated and re-opened its doors this past Saturday, and prepared a heat-filled list of sneakers for the devoted fans who showed up at the grand opening. If you’re not in the NYC area, Sneakerfriends ATL will kick off once again this Sunday if you’re down South. And finally, another week of sneaker releases were summarized by the Sneaker News Weekly Buyer’s Guide. Check out the rest of the big-time Sneaker News action below!
