We’re not sure who can lay claim to sparking the recent trend of sneaker brands coming with more rugged styles. We’ve seen a couple Reebok collabos opting for hiking models, Nike using an outdoors approach on the likes of the Air Force 1, and now the adidas Originals Fourteener is joining the party. This hi model from adidas features D-ring lacing and a chunkier heel, paired with a tough material selection firmly rooted in outerwear traditions. While we’re a bit puzzled by the August release date on these, we see no reason not to pick them up early and put them on ice in anticipation of the colder months ahead.
