Celebrity sneakerhead and hip-hop artist Wale is known to rock some sneakers well in advance of release dates, but his latest appearance, which was for a live performance at the Heineken Red Starr Access Present Roc Nation event in Philly, wasn’t exactly of the ‘these ain’t out yet’ category. “Matching” his throwback Padres uniform and military-inspired pants was the Nike Air Max LeBron VII ‘Christ The King’ PE, a sneaker that released at House of Hoops locations last year. Despite having a connection with the prep school in Queens, NY, the Christ The King LeBron VII was widely popular for its resemblance to the Cavaliers’ wine/gold jersey colorway, and clearly Wale as a soft spot for these because he definitely dug deep in his sneaker closet for these. Check out Wale and his LeBrons after the jump and let us know what you think.
