What is a ‘Destroyer’? It can be described as an iconoclastic individual who breaks through expectations and blazes his or her own path – one that ‘destroys’ the norm. Nike Sportswear gives a nod to these individuals with its select collection of footwear and apparel, like last year’s Tokyo Destroyer Pack, which featured an Air Force 1 High fashioned in premium leather, contrast stitching, work-boot roped laces, and a special logo on the heel. Tokyo and New York are two cities cut from the same Earth; both are considered to spearhead the next level of fashion and influential culture, making this New York Destroyers Pack all the more necessary. Here we have a look at a sample of the Nike Air Force 1 High New York Destroyer; it’s identical to the Tokyo version, with the exception of the blue trim and the unique ‘NY’ logo on the heel. The accompanying Nike Sportwear Destroyer Jacket also features NY-specific detailing on the back. This New York Destroyers Pack was presented to a select few so a release may not ever go down, so check ’em out below and let us know what you think. via AMPM.
