Here’s one of the most peculiar and unprecedented collaborations in the history of the modern sneaker scene: a collaboration between two significant long-standing labels who occupy such different corners of the footwear market that their team-up is as unlikely as head-on competition.  It’s one of those ideas you might reject wholesale if you just read that they were gonna combine the Clarks Originals Wallabee chukka with the Fila Original Tennis, and yet, a quick look at them reveals that this isn’t some manatee idea ball mashup.  A swooping Fila stripe integrates into the Wallabee’s iconic vamp quite effortlessly, and though we’re simultaneously curious and terrified by the prospect of further colorways, the red-on-tan flat-out works.  A three man dice game where the contestants are playing for literal cheese is a perfect companion to this ‘did this really happen’ project; could you see yourself in the Fila x Clarks Filabee?  Click through to let us know, take a look at more images and stick with Sneaker News for the release date.  via Union
