You’ve got to keep things fresh to stay ahead of the curve in today’s sneakerhead set, but here’s a case where wearing something too long will most certainly have onlookers remarking that you rock ‘trash’. As in refuse, or compost, which is ultimately the fate for the ‘materials’ used on this insane ‘Real Oranges’ adidas custom created by Dan Cretu. This artist has also used orange peels to construct a bicycle piece, he’s put a melon on a lemon to make a ‘lamp’ and filled a cassette’s spools with salami slices. But sneakers made of old food would have to rank as the craziest of them all; would you wear a pair of these if they were made out of a more practical material? via Complex/Deviant Art
