The ‘Black Mamba‘ is a nickname that Kobe Bryant assigned himself, claiming his desire for his on-court play to be that of the Black Mamba snake, which strikes with 99% accuracy at maximum speed. For the Nike Zoom Kobe VII, which features the ‘Play Fast’ removable cushioning unit, Kobe will assume the identities of a few more speed-dependent wildlife beasts. Check out Nike Zoom Kobe VII ‘Shark’, featuring a Treasure Blue/White-Black colorway with a tantalizing deep-blue ocean inspired design on the upper and a shark logo on the heel; we haven’t seen much in terms of colorways from the Kobe VII, but this not only gives us a hint at a non-Lakers colorway, but also the possibilities in terms of design concepts and themes. Sharks are one of the most feared animals on the planet, with power and strength being its primary mode of attack, and the ‘Play Fast’ cushioning should enable Kobe to attach his prey and move to the top of the food chain and regain the NBA Championship. We’ve got a detailed set of images of this March 2012 release, so take a good look and stick with Sneaker News for more Nike Zoom Kobe VII updates because we’ve got a lot more coming your way.
