It’s no secret by now that the canon of sneaker-inspired art is expanding just as rapidly as interest in this hobby/subculture, and the latest example finds itself on the cutting edge thanks to finding inspiration in a hybrid model the likes of which didn’t even exist just a short while ago. Moscow-based graphic artist Aske aka Sicksystems managed to take the Nike Air Force 1 High ‘Duckboot’ a step further, integrating a wolf face into the design of a multilayer plyboard construciton that was then painted with acrylics to achieve a perfect color match with the ‘Dark Army’ AF1 Duckboot. These almost have the look of a construction paper cutout from afar, but you don’t get the kind of tonal depth and shadowing that these offer on a 2D surface. Click through so you can see this Air Force 1 ‘Wolfboot’ in more detail and let us know how they rank against all the other pieces we’ve seen recently here on Sneaker News.
