Though it’d be a wild inaccuracy to call them the ‘American BAPE’, Gourmet is indeed similar to Nigo’s groundbreaking Japanese streetwear concern in that they’ve both taken some heat over the years for the extent to which their designs are original. And yet, both brands soldier on with great success while waiting for you to recognize the beat of their rapid-sampling drumkit. Coming up for the fall/winter 2012 season, we see models like the Gourmet Quadici take on the camouflage look that’s served BAPE so well over the years, but even if the wildly inventive Dignan (pictured above) has a similar concealment pattern doesn’t mean there’s anything else in the industry quite like it as of this writing. Add in the new Gaetano trail boot and you’ve got a well-rounded preview with more pairs to follow as we approach the second half drop, so click through to see them all and stick with Sneaker News for updates. via EUkicks
