Reebok Insta Pump Fury Olympic

While Nike Sportswear looks back on the Dream Team’s 20th Anniversary this summer, Reebok is left to recall that their most significant marketing campaign for the 1992 Olympics was a substantial failure.  The ‘Dan & Dave’ series featured America’s top decathletes in a series of TV ads designed to make them household names before Barcelona.  But after Dan O’Brien failed to qualify for the teams after bombing on the pole vault at the USATF trials, RBK was left with a lesson Nike later learned the hard way with ‘MVPuppets’.  Perhaps Reebok was just ahead of their time with O’Brien, though, as Dan went on to win the gold in Atlanta four years later.   The Reebok Insta Pump Fury came onto the scene sometime in between, and this new Olympic Flag-inspired colorup shows why this radically angular runner still manages a cutting edge look nearly two decades after debuting.  Click through to see more details including the Big Ben insoles and stick with Sneaker News for release info.  via mita sneakers
