Much like many of the other major sneaker brands, Vans Vault has flirted with the idea of spongy silione soles, only to limit their use to a few select pairs. But with the success of Taka Hayashi’s Derby lowtops last year leading to a few more crepe bottoms from him this year, there was enough momentum to bring along this new duo of Vans Vault Sk8-Hi Boat Crepe hightops. The combination of crepe texture on the sole with a moccassin toe offers a strong connection to the Clarks Originals Wallabee, but even with the ‘Boat’ designation, these are all Sk8. Click through to see more of black and brown pairs, and look for them at top-notch Vans retailers like Bow&Arrows.
