While Nike Sportswear will look to celebrate USA Basketball’s recent achievements in celebration of this summer’s Olympic Games, adidas goes back a bit further for the lion’s share of its torch carriers. The adidas Originals LA Trainer reminds us of the USSR-boycotted 1984 Games where the US athletes dominated on their home turf, these three new colorways offering a redistribution of colors from the Stars and Bars spread across Light Scarlett, Pool and Dark Onix suede and mesh builds. They’re like many of the old school runners we’ve seen this season bridging yesterday’s shapes with today’s simple colorways that have their own vintage twist, and you’ll find them now at select Three Stripes retailers like Afew.
