This holiday season, sneakerheads will get to re-live one of the most interesting time periods of Michael Jordan’s career – his first retirement. The world of sports was completely shellshocked when Jordan made the announcement to step away from the game after winning his third straight title, but Nike and the Jumpman managed to spin the story into an entertaining story arc by introducing the fictional Johnny Kilroy, who was believed to be Michael Jordan in disguise. This October, Jordan Brand will “personify” Kilroy with the Retro colorway of the Air Jordan IX in a Black/Metallic Platinum-Gym Red colorway. We have a first clear look at this above courtesy of TSG, so be sure to let us know your thoughts on this upcoming release after you take a look.
