Give Tinker Hatfield a pen and paper and he’ll draw up a sick prototype of a sneaker. Of course, we’re at an age where pen and paper have taken a backseat to more high-tech devices, but the idea is the same; when we first showed you the debut of the Nike Zoom Vapor Tour 9, we noted that Tinker designed ’em using an iPad. So as we get closer to the 2012 tennis season, Tinker and Co. have introduced a new Black/Neon colorway of the Nike Zoom Vapor Tour 9 that Roger Federer will wear for the season, giving Roger a visual upgrade that matches the performance advantage provided by the Vapor Tour 9 (primarily the unique fit system, which has been adopted by the Lunarglide+ 4 and Lunar Hyperdunk+).
