Basketball was exciting in Philly during the late 90’s. The Sixers had just drafted one of the most anti-prototypical players in history in Allen Iverson – a 6’0′ point guard with the mentality of a gun-slinging shooting guard and the fearlessness of a Power Forward. Before he created the new fashion trend with his cornrows and casual courtside wear, Allen Iverson sparked things in his rookie year by winning the best honor for a first-year player and putting the moves on Michael Jordan, and eventually ‘The Answer’ went on to appear in multiple All-Star games, win four NBA Scoring Titles, earn an MVP award, and advance to the NBA Finals. Allen Iverson was the new era of NBA Player, and again, we can’t help but think back to where it started – the Reebok Question.
