On Saturday, LeBron James was officially announced as the 2011-12 NBA Season MVP, earning an unprecedented third honor in this era and joining quite the impressive unit of fellow multi-MVP winners like Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, and Wilt Chamberlain. What separates LeBron from that honored group is the LeBron is the only one to not win an NBA Title, but he’s definitely on his way as he led the Miami Heat to a Game 1 win against the Indiana Pacers while wearing the Nike LeBron 9 ‘MVP’ after being presented the award in front of the Home crowd. Of course, Sneaker News was first to give you a look at the LeBron 9 ‘MVP’, which boasts a mix of Heat-specific colorways with a sick ‘MVP’ medallion on the heel; these have been confirmed for a limited release next month so take a look at LeBron wearing the LeBron 9 ‘MVP’ during the earlier portion of the game and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more updates on this special edition release.
