East vs. West has traditionally been a Blue vs. Red affair, but 2012 was a year of changes for sneaker brands as both Nike and Jordan threw in the punchy orange into the mix for some distinction. The Jordan Brand Classic in April, which showcases some of the best High School talent in the nation, featured two special colorways of the Air Jordan 2012, with the East squad donning a tonal Team Orange colorway with a grey midsole. This unreleased promo sample seen here is likely a variation of that Eastern composition, but clearly the tonal joints were the final product for the sake of symmetry as the West went with a similar tonal make-up in University Blue. More of this unreleased Air Jordan 2012 sample below, so take a look and hit up the auction from thecoolshoeshine on eBay.
